Sci-Fi and Stargate Sg-1

Todays topic well it says right above...Sci-Fi. So can you think of a Sci-Fi film or tv show that you like? Or maybe a Sci-fi book or magazine. Sci-Fi is pretty popular nowadays. But the Sci-Fi we see now has evolved quite a bit from what it used to be. There is good and bad Sci-Fi out there. Some earlier science fiction writers out there are George Orwell, H.G. Wells, and John Wyndam. I can't exactly pull up a history of writers write now but there are quite a few. But what I really enjoy in Sci-Fi right now is Stargate Sg-1. It is a tv show that use to air on space. It still does however the seasons are a year behind. Meaning what is being shown was filmed last year. Stargate has 9 seasons out there and they are currently on the 10th. Also Stargate Sg-1 spawned a second tv show in the same topic called Stargate Atlantis. What a succesfull show to spawn another! It is different in ways of course but it is the same. So some of the reasons I enjoy stargate is because it is not only Sci-Fi but it brings in a lot of mythology and culture. I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to mythology and stargate integrates it into it's show like there is no tommorrow. Without mythology there would be no Stargate.
